Advancement of New England Storytelling
The League for the Advancement of New England Storytelling is
dedicated to the appreciation and promotion of the art of storytelling in all its aspects: traditional, creative,
educational, cultural, personal, and therapeutic. They believe that sharing stories creates understanding between
people. Their purpose is to nurture family, community, and professional storytelling throughout New England and
New York. A non-profit organization, LANES functions as a resource for both storytellers and the general public
through our publications, conferences, and events.

The
University of Connecticut Puppets Art Program
The University of Connecticut offers the only Puppet Arts Training Program in the United States in which students
can work toward BFA, MA or MFA degrees in the Puppet Arts. Graduates of the program perform in and design for theaters
around the world, appear in, build for and manage internationally recognized television programs and films, write
books, design toys, teach children, and direct prominent schools and museums.
The Puppeteers
Cooperative
The Puppeteers' Cooperative is a group of artists and puppeteers
working in cities around the nation to create giant puppet parades, pageants, and ceremonies of celebration and
complaint, using simple materials and movements to build community cardboard extravaganzas.
Old Songs
Old Songs, Inc. is a not-for-profit, educational, tax-exempt
organization dedicated to preserving traditional music and dance. They are centered in Guilderland, New York, a
suburb of Albany, the capital of New York State. Since its incorporation in 1977, Old Songs has met this mission
by presenting concerts, dances, instrument classes, and the annual Old Songs Festival of Traditional Music and
Dance. A working board of directors, a year-round office, and volunteer and business support underpin the effort.
Our programs reach more than 12,000 people each year, inspiring them, it is hoped, to incorporate music or dance
or storytelling into their lives.
National
Storytelling Festival
The National Storytelling Festival is produced by the Storytelling
Foundation International, and is co-owned by Storytelling Foundation International and the National Storytelling
Network. Come hear the tales unfold beneath the big festival tents and under the gaze of nighttime stars in Jonesborough,
Tennessee. A three-day extravaganza in October that renews an almost-lost art.
Partners for
Art Education
Partners for Arts Education (PAE), Partners for Arts Education (PAE), a not-for-profit network that fosters partnerships
between artists and educators to use the arts as real tools for learning.
PAE offers funding opportunities for artist/school partnerships, monthly roundtables for education and training,
training and professional development for teaching artists and classroom teachers, and an extensive web-based monthly
newsletter sharing critical information, up-to-the-minute arts-in-education research, best practices, and success
stories.
